- Fit the correct A/C control panel with the heated windscreen button
- Run dedicated power and control wiring to the BCM and key vehicle electronics
- Carry out coding and diagnostics to enable the system in the vehicle’s software
- Sometimes fit additional relays or modules, depending on spec
It’s a detailed job, but once done — the system works and looks just like it came from the factory.
The A/C Panel is the Key Piece
If you’re checking out a potential Skoda to buy (or already own one), take a close look at the climate control panel. You’re specifically looking for a dedicated heated windscreen button — often shown as a windscreen icon with wavy arrows underneath it.
If the panel doesn’t have this button, the retrofit won’t function properly — even if you have the correct glass and wiring.

What If Your Panel Doesn’t Have It?
Not a problem — we can swap it. While Skoda dealers often quote over £1,000 for a new A/C panel, these do come up used for between £150–£200 if you keep an eye out. As long as it matches your car’s spec (manual vs auto air con, seat heating, etc.), we can install and code it as part of the retrofit.
