I booked in to have a heated windscreen fitted to my VW Golf. Before the work started they gathered all the specifications for the windscreen, fortunately I don't have either lane assist or road sign cameras built into my screen so this made things a little simpler. Once I was booked in they arranged for the parts needed and said it would take a day to fit and fully configure. The work was carried out to a very high standard and we even spotted an unrelated problem with a silicon pipe rubbing on my battery tray which they also helped to fix when reassembling things. After coding the car I now have a new virtual button within the climate menu for the front heated windscreen.I would highly recommend.

I was very impressed with the communication shared with 'Retrofits' and Paul's responsiveness. E mails/messages were always met with a timely response. The fitting (reverse assist and a dashcam to my 5 series BMW)) was completed to my satisfaction and in popping back the day after for a little advice on the dashcam I received due courtesy and politely expressed clarity. Amazing. Took it originally to a main VW van dealer. In and out for 6 weeks with no progress. They Had no idea what to do and probably made matters worse. So took it to Retrofits to re-code the folding mirrors and reinstate the WeConnect system. All done in half a day. Also upgraded the engine software which solved another minor glitch which the VW dealer should have done. Mike and Paul were a delight to deal with. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

Rachel, my initial phone contact, impressed immediately with her positive can-do approach to my enquiry, which related to commissioning a brand new VW MIB II Composition Media unit using factory systems. Paul was quick with his response, giving a clear breakdown of costs.As a VW approved independent repairer, Professional Retrofits were one of the relatively few VW retrofit specialists able to remove component protection the correct way, using dealer level diagnostic software, rather than through some back door hack, and to register official upgrade licenses for App Connect and voice control.Booking was straightforward and follow-up comms were great. With the amount I had already spent on the hardware, and the reluctance of some other companies I had contacted to get involved, I was a little anxious. However Mike, the senior technician who undertook the work, was great to deal with. He inspired a lot of confidence, while hooking up his equipment to the car, unlocking and testing step-by-step the various infotainment functions.I am very happy with the service Professional Retrofits provided, and the value for money offered, so wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

I have a 2024 startline vw transporter t6.1.Which comes with no fog lights.As I live in isle of man, I asked around to do the work no avail.Looked on line and found pro retrofit Nuneaton. Paul was very helpful, happy with price, booked a date for work . Paul e emailed me serval time and directions.The job took 3 hours, pleased with work .You sit in a room with tea & coffee plus Wi-Fi. I recently had side assist and a heated steering wheel fitted to my VW Transporter T6.1 by professional retrofits. Their customer service and communication throughout the whole process from booking stage to work being completed was outstanding and frankly a breath of fresh air! I have had a total nightmare with one particular company, as well as a host of others that I began to think that poor (to put it politely) customer service was the norm and everyone had lost their way. Professional Retrofits were outstanding, both in customer service but also the quality of their workmanship.I am very particular and look after my belongings, and it was great to see Mikey take such care and pride in his work whilst working on my van.Mikey worked tirelessly to complete the side assist and heated wheel retrofit, he is a credit to the company.The towbar wiring had been run badly to the BCM by VanHaven, which Mikey had to navigate and work around.He even corrected some issues along the way that VanHaven had left after their build, such as the speedo under reading, both speed and miles travelled, (which according to VanHaven couldn’t be done) and also the digital dash showed a graphic of a van with barn doors instead of tailgate, which my van has. Both of these issues were sorted quickly by Mikey and it’s all as it should be now.I would wholeheartedly recommend Professional Retrofits, their knowledge, skill and customer service is second to none.

I had parking sensors fitted to a new car which oddly came without them as standard. I'm very particular and have high standards for workmanship and researched a fitter thoroughly before going ahead. Professional Retrofits didn't disappoint. Excellent work, good communication throughout. Better than main dealer results. Good waiting area available. One thing to note is to plan your visit re meals because there is nothing nearby.

We wanted cruise control retrofitting to a 62 plate Ibiza. The price of the part was expensive given the age of the car, so we suggested a used part which they were happy to fit. Fitting costs were reasonable given the time it took to fit. I arrived a little ahead of the booked time and the car was straight in while i waited.Everything tested and works as it should.This is the third time I have used them despite it being an hours drive, just because they are specialists in what they do and do it well. Other garages i have asked I don't get a confident response from.

Very friendly and Professional service. Went in to clean the drain on pan roof Vw Tiguan as water was getting blocked and seeping inside. Also got a quick diagnostic check done at the same time. The touchscreen on my VW Caddy Navigation and Entertainment Unit was faulty. I called on the phone and received a quote. Quite expensive in my opinion (£300 inc vat, including tracked and insured postage), however another company refused to quote until receiving the unit, so I was happier to get the work done by Retrofits than send the unit to the other company, only maybe be charged more. The work was carried out and my unit was returned in the post within a day. All works ok now. Thank you.

I had a second hand DSG steering wheel fit to my works T6 van. As I travel all over the UK and my plans constantly change I had to make an appointment that would fit into my schedule. Due to work loads I had the opportunity to visit earlier than planned. Both Racheal and Paul made provisions to fit me in. Mike recently fitted a full camera setup to my VW California T6.1, including a genuine VW rear-view camera and a BlackVue DR590X-2CH front and rear dash cam system.The workmanship was outstanding — everything was installed neatly, coded, and tested to factory spec with no shortcuts. The rear-view camera integrates perfectly with the factory system and makes reversing so much easier, while the BlackVue dash cam gives me real peace of mind on the road, knowing I’ve got reliable front and rear coverage.What really impressed me is how Mike went the extra mile to help and protect us. When he started the job, he discovered that whoever had previously fitted the window hadn’t secured the tailgate trim at all — not even a single screw was put back in place. As soon as he began working, the whole thing nearly came crashing down. Instead of cutting corners, Mike took the extra time to put everything back properly and safely.This shows exactly why their service is worth every penny: they don’t just fit equipment, they make sure your vehicle is safe and finished to the highest standard. The Retrofits company was brilliant from my initial phone call, right through to the installation of my android head unit.I purchased the head unit using the knowledge told to me by them, and they had it installed in around an hour. Paul, and his colleague, provided a highly professional service in fitting a Westfalia towbar with removable towball to our Skoda Yeti. He is extremely helpful and gives one confidence that he knows what he is doing. He also went to great lengths to explain what he was going to do and to make sure that I witnessed a final test and know how to install and disconnect the towball. He also was very patient in demonstrating how the bike rack I took with me should be fitted.
The waiting facilities are clean and comfortable and the wifi works well.

Went to Pauls new workshop yesterday to have a new Multifunction steering wheel fitted and a new Kenwood DNX525 DAB radio fitted.

Can cruise control be retrofitted to my vehicle?

In many cases, cruise control can be professionally retrofitted using OEM components and correct vehicle coding. Compatibility depends on the vehicle model and existing control modules, which can be checked prior to installation.

This Volkswagen T6.1 Transporter came in for a rear OEM-style parking sensor retrofit.
The system was added with stereo display integration and audible warning beeps when reversing.
On this job, we fitted rear parking sensors to give the driver both a visual display on the stereo screen and audible warnings from the rear. It’s a straightforward upgrade that makes reversing easier, especially when using the van daily in tighter spaces or busier work areas.

Your Van Can Warn You Volkswagen T6.1 Transporter

VW Golf Mk7 R heated windscreen retrofit supplied and fitted, using an aftermarket OEM copy style windscreen.
Wiring and coding were completed so it works as per factory, including the extra virtual button on the aircon screen.
This Golf Mk7 R came in for a heated windscreen retrofit and we supplied and fitted the full setup shown in the video. In this case, we used an aftermarket OEM copy style windscreen, then carried out the wiring and coding needed to get everything working properly.
Once completed on the Golf, the heated windscreen is operated through an extra virtual button on the aircon screen, so the finished result looks and works like the factory setup. The total for this job came to just under £1.5k.

VW T6.1 heated steering wheel retrofit, fitted to work from the steering wheel itself with no separate add-on buttons.
This installation has been done to work as per factory, giving a neat OEM-style result.
In this video, we show a heated steering wheel retrofit on a Volkswagen T6.1. The main point with this one is that the heating is activated from the steering wheel itself, rather than using extra buttons fitted elsewhere as an afterthought.
If the van has an OEM stereo, the heat setting can be adjusted across three levels. If it does not have an OEM stereo, it stays on medium. The finished result is a heated steering wheel retrofit that works neatly and properly from the wheel itself.

No Extra Buttons Needed Volkswagen T6.1

Genuine retractable towbar retrofit on a 2026 Skoda Kodiaq, fitted and activated properly.
This vehicle was SFD2 locked, so the job had to be carried out with the correct activation code from the genuine kit via Skoda servers on ODIS.
This video shows a genuine Skoda Kodiaq towbar retrofit on a newer VAG vehicle where it is no longer a simple fit-and-code job. On this one, we supplied the genuine retractable towbar kit, used the proper activation code that comes with it, and completed the coding and integration the correct way with no shortcuts.
The end result is a properly fitted and activated genuine retractable towbar retrofit. This is the correct process on post-2024 VAG vehicles with SFD2 protection, and it is why proper diagnostics and server-based coding matter on these newer installations.
