01. Preparation
We were tasked with finding out exactly what was needed to complete this installation and how it was going to be done so it was completed as nicely as possible
02. The installation
We started off by removing necessary parts to gain access to where the Towbar was to be fixed into place, all torque specs were followed closely and then we were onto installing the 13 pin vehicle specific electrics, we always follow the factory wiring route to make it as close to a factory fit as possible, after this we carefully rebuilt what we’d taken apart before moving onto programming.
03. Results
The final product is a fixed swan neck towbar that’s installed in the best way possible with 13 pin dedicated electrics that are programmed correctly to all relevant control modules installed on the vehicle , taking into account disabling the rear sensors when to towbar is in use to save any false proximity alerts as well as informing the customer should there be a bulb failure on the Trailer/caravan at any point.
