We recently fitted an Alpine Halo 11 multimedia system for a customer who travelled from Peterborough, seeking a comprehensive upgrade to their vehicle’s entertainment and connectivity. The installation involved more than simply swapping head units. Our technicians retained the existing dashboard USB port for power, added a dedicated HDMI input, and carefully removed a substantial amount of disorganised wiring left behind by a previous CarPlay kit.
To further enhance usability, we routed a USB data cable into the glovebox, enabling seamless connection to a Carlinkit Android/CarPlay box. This setup allowed the customer to enjoy streaming services such as Netflix while on the move, with all cables discreetly managed for a clean finish.
