How the Installation Was Carried Out
This isn’t your average plug-and-play solution. Installing an OEM badge camera on the VW T-Roc involves several precise steps. First, we carefully removed the original rear badge and partially disassembled the bumper. Then, we rerouted the harnesses through the factory grommets.
Even the hidden details matter—so we secured everything using Tesa loom tape for an OEM look and feel throughout.
Diagnostics and Coding for Full Compatibility
Before beginning the install, we ran a full diagnostic scan to verify the vehicle’s module readiness. After fitting, the camera was coded into the infotainment system using both VCDS and VCP. This enabled the dynamic guidelines and ensured full CAN network compatibility. As a result, there were no error messages or flickering screens—just a camera system that worked exactly as Volkswagen intended.
