01. Preparation
We were tasked with finding out exactly what was needed to complete this installation and how it was going to be done so it was of high quality of an installation as we’ve became known for
02. The installation
We started off by removing necessary parts/panels to gain access to the the factory wiring so we could run our camera loom along the same route
We overlayed our camera wiring loom with the factory wiring ensuring that it’s secure and free from the possibility of rubbing/chafing further down the line
Next we set about wiring our rear view camera loom in to the aftermarket Kenwood head unit
The final step was to mount our rear view camera into the number plate lighting panel, locating this centrally wasn’t a possibility here due to the boot release handle being fitted here, we opted for offsetting the camera to the left of this.
As with all installations completed by us we spend whatever time is needed to make sure it’s going to function as intended and be reliable for our customer
03. Results
The final product is an installation that works exactly as it’s meant to with the rear view camera given a great coverage and displaying as nicely as possible on the aftermarket head unit that is fitted.
